A Way to Live

Everyone has a short time in this world, some shorter than others. Some will get the opportunity to live to be 80 or 90. In the end, when we look back on our lives we will ask what/who did I affect in this world? About an hour ago I found a video on youtube. This video moved me so much I knew I just had to write something down. A boy at the age 16 has affected so many with his message of love and hope. His name is Zach Sobiech. You may have actually heard of him, I hadn't at the time, but his song "Clouds" reached number one on itunes about a year and a half or so ago. Zach's was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in his young teen years. Zach Sobiech's story amazing.  He touched my heart with the videos about him and learning his story. I believe his soul still lives on with all those who keep him in their memories. I'm going to leave the links to the three videos I watched.

Usually role models are people who are older, major political or professionals. While these people are great role models, Zach has become on of mine. Why? His compassion, love for others, always being supportive, never trying to be a burden and always smiling.

Short update on me:
I'm enjoying school. Taking Tai chi, philosophy and tennis, really tough schedule. By tough I mean exhausting, so much physical activity. I am really enjoying tennis and play it 4 to 5 times a week.
I recently did a 5k with my mom and Shelby. It was called the Color Run. They throw this colored cornstarch on you during the race, plastering you with color. My mom ran the whole thing, so go her! Shelby and I walked and ran sporadically. It was great fun and definitely suggest doing it if they have one in your area.
Other than school and losing the moon face from the steroids(and twenty pounds), I don't have too much to add.
O yeah,  I have a pic of the mri that I have to photoshop to make internet safe( get rid of info in pics etc)....ill try to update this post with a few pictures later.

One sexy looking brain. If you follow the part of the brain stem to where it kind of looks like a lump, that is the pons. on the right is the original and the large one is post radiation. Lots of shrinkage. Lets hope it decides to stay like that.
